Metes and Bounds is a 3-week intensive workshop and seminar led by thenorthroom at Mildred's Lane, exploring the principles and performativity of plane table surveying through boundary walks, archival searches at the Office of Records and Deeds, sighting, note-taking, and measuring through narration.
Mildred's Lane is a collaboration between artists Mark Dion, J. Morgan Puett and their associates. This Project is a long-term experiment in large-scale projects, research and event based practices, with a living museum and an educational institution attached.
